Pontiflex Adds Marketing and Sales Industry Veterans to Expand Executive Team
Chris Halvorsen, VP, Business Development, and Jeff Gottesman, Director, National Sales, Bring Deep Management Experience to New RolesNew York - May 21, 2008 — Pontiflex, the first open and transparent cost per lead (CPL) market for publishers, advertisers and technology providers, today announced the expansion of its management team with the appointment of two new executives: Chris Halvorsen will lead business development and Jeff Gottesman will oversee national sales. The new appointments provide added depth and experience to Pontiflex's leadership team, positioning the company to drive new revenue and meet market demands for increasing returns on online marketing.
Chris Halvorsen joins Pontiflex from Orbitz Worldwide, Inc.(NYSE: ), where he held a series of leadership roles including Vice President of Supplier Marketing and Vice President of Advertising Sales for the Partner Marketing Group. Chris was a founding member of the Partner Marketing Group team and helped build the business into a $35M revenue stream for the company. In his new role, Halvorsen will be responsible for driving the strategic growth and direction of Pontiflex's sales initiatives and the entire sales organization.
"I look forward to joining the team at Pontiflex",said Halvorsen. "Online lead generation is the fastest growing segment in online advertising and has enormous potential to be the next big thing. I see the opportunity to provide advertisers with a scalable solution to increase returns on their campaigns, especially given the low click-through rates on banner advertising and the high Cost-per-keyword metrics in search engine marketing."
Jeff Gottesman joins Pontiflex from MyPoints.com, where he served as Director, National Sales. Gottesman worked with clients including 1-800-Flowers, Scholastic, Ice.com, and the New York Times to help them drive revenue, acquire customers and generate leads for their businesses. At Pontiflex, Gottesman will be responsible for leading the company's North American sales strategy.
"A large number of my existing clients and prospects were spending more dollars on lead generation", said Gottesman. "As I learned more about Pontiflex's strategy it became clear to me that they offered a compelling solution to the growing need for quality, efficiency and transparency in the lead generation marketplace."
"Chris and Jeff bring invaluable experience and success in marketing and sales, with a proven track record in building high performing teams and developing impactful and competitive strategies to support long-term business growth. Their talents and business expertise will be a valuable asset to the company to help fuel our expansion," said Pontiflex Co-Founder and CEO Zephrin Lasker.
